I don’t know about you, but I hate these kinds of advertisements…and for a few reason…

Too many people believe that if a given protocol works for them – whether they devised it or bought it – it should work for everyone.  I can’t believe that people are that limited in their thinking.

There are soooo many variables to take into consideration for a given body…to think that the “one size fits all” approach is actually valid is nonsense.

Even in Ayurvedic medicine – over 5000 years old – they realized that there were many types of metabolism and other issues that impacted on how a given body functioned.  The basic three issues they took into considerations were your base constitutionVata (movement), Pitta (transition) and Kapha (structure).  Each of these had a multitude of characteristics and you could have any combination in dominance.

Today we know there are a number of variables from:

– pH

– enzyme production & secretion

DNA

– microbiota

adrenal issues

liver issues

thyroid issues

gut issues

– dental issues

– blood health

hormonal imbalances

mineral deficiencies

– phytonutrient deficiencies (anti-inflammatories, anti-oxidants, vitamins, omega 3s, bioflavonoids, and the list goes on)

heavy metal toxicities

and the list goes on.

And let’s not forget the basics:

–  food intake (quality and quantity)

underlying life themes

exercise

To be effective, you need to understand what is going on in your body – otherwise – you will be doing the hit and miss game.  You may hit the target on the first, 10th or 50th try – and then think – this is the diet that everyone should be on – it is the one that finally worked for me.

No, you are not that limited in your thinking….you are smarter than that.  But you can read my book Managing Your Weight:  why your body may be working against you. and find out more.

Be responsible, do your homework, find a good health practitioner, not a symptom manager.

Here’s to your health!
